Dragon boat racing

Dragon boat racing is coming to the Coniston Hotel, Coniston Cold, once again this spring.

Organised by Skipton Rotary Club, teams, of at least 8 rowers, battle it out in a series of heats across the lake to be crowned overall winners.

Boats are provided and there will be support from a professional dragon boat company.

Entries from groups of friends, businesses and organisations are welcome - all that is needed is at least 9 people per team, and an entry fee - which goes to charity.

Teams can raise sponsorship for their preferred charity, or to the rotary's charity - the Airedale Hospital and Community Charity.

Fancy dress is optional, and there is a prize for the best-dressed team.

Racing will take place on Sunday, May 15th.
