Richmond MayFest takes place every early May Bank Holiday with loads of great music, dancing and storytelling in and around Richmond Castle and Richmond town centre.

This year the weekend starts with a Retro Night in Richmond Town Hall on Friday 3rd May and ends Monday 6th May at 5pm. Many MayFest events are totally free! Most events are during the day with some evening ticketed events. Please see the website www.richmondmayfest.org
As a community festival, local residents in DL9, DL10 and DL11 get a discount on all ticketed events, as well as free admission to Richmond Castle on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, and Richmondshire Museum on Saturday and Sunday.
