Vaccination Centres to open in Ingleton and Settle

Local vaccination centres will open in Ingleton and Settle 'very soon', as a Yorkshire Dales Pharmacist applies to run local hubs.

Centres will open in Ingleton at the Community Centre and at the Methodist Church in Settle.

Speaking on Dales Radio today, Jayne Lis announced the new centre would be opening to help serve the Ingleton and wider communty.  The centre will be open as vaccine doses are available.  It will be run by Raj Ali, the local Pharmacist in Ingleton, who has successfully applied to run the COVID vaccination hubs and will coordinate and run the centres and manage the clinical processes.

The success will rely heavily on volunteers who can help with the smooth operation of the hubs. The organisers are looking for volunteers to help to marshall inside and outside the building and to help run the vaccination process to allow the clinicians to administer the vaccines. The days and hours of operation will depend greatly on the supply of vaccines, but Mr Ali's teams are hoping to run on two or three days a week, both midweek and at weekends.

As a volunteer you may be willing and able to offer whole days or a half days, but all offers of help and support would be hugely welcome and appreciated. In particular, if you have clinical experience / qualification, then please let Raj know.

If you would like to help make this work, get in touch as soon as possible. Please email Raj at raj.ali@nhs.net to let him know if you would be willing to help.
