Appleby Horse Fair is traditionally known as the biggest date in the calendar for the travelling community across Europe and is back for 2025!

The fair which is now in it's 249th year attracts thousands or travellers and tourists to Appleby in Westmorland and this year runs from Thursday June 5th to Wednesday June 11th.

The horses are washed in the River Eden and trotted up and down in the "Flashing Lane" during the day as a way of trading horses.

You can also visit the market on Jimmy Winters Field (CA16 6JH) selling a variety of goods, some of which are traditional to the travelling community and of course a wide range of horse related products.

Warcop Village Hall are very kindly providing parking from 8am to 6pm over the weekend 6th and 7th June.
