A hand knitted depiction of the Christmas Story featuring Mary & Joseph, the shepherds & the 3 Kings all heading to the Dales Barn.

The Buckden Knit & Natter group thought they would put a ‘Dales’ twist on the Christmas story changing the stable for a Yorkshire Dales barn full of local breeds of animals, which has been beautifully embroidered by one of our talented ladies. Mary and Joseph travel along the Dales Way with their donkey. While the shepherds are on the hillsides with their sheep as they are today. The Kings set off over the Moors in the East Riding on their camels. Under the Rood Loft, a beautiful host of Angels flying amongst the stars and clouds with the Angel Gabriel. Every single person in our group has either knitted, crocheted or embroidered some part of this project from sandal straps to the Kings gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, as well as all the characters, animals, flora and fauna.
We do hope you enjoy our Dales ‘KNITIVITY’ twist……………..

There are also hand knitted robins for sale with all proceeds going to the Martin Children's Hospice.
