The annual Wassailing ceremony at Masham Cider Press.
The time has come for the annual Wassail ceremony-blessing of the apple trees, a ceremony to wake the trees from their winter slumber and scare away evil spirits and ensure a good harvest on Saturday 11th January.
Shake of the winter blues with plenty of music, dancing, feasting and festivities from midday onwards!
Expect harlequin Morris dancers and horse from pealie's barn ensemble plus hot food, apple juice and mulled cider.
The actual wassailing ceremony starts before dusk at around 3.30pm and finishes at 6pm, everyone is encourage to get involved!
Get into the spirit with Green man headresses, garlands, crowns of leaves, lanterns and torches.
RSVP or just turn up entirely up to you its on at Masham Cider Press in Bedale.
