A chance to explore the history of our church and to see the work of local artists with our Art Exhibition.

As part of the national initiative run by English Heritage, St Mary's Church, Thornton-in-Craven will be opening its doors to welcome visitors to our Saxon church building, from Friday 6th September to Sunday 8th September (11 am to 4pm).

As well as a chance to explore local history, Earby historical Society will be displaying their recent research into men from our area who died in the First World War - some of who are buried in our church yard.

Local artists are showing off their art and craft work, which will be available to see and purchase.

Light refreshments will be available as well as Ice Cream and Milk shakes from the Milk Shack next door at our local Farm.

Local Bell ringers will be pealing the bells on Sunday (if you are interested in becoming a bell-ringer come along and have a chat with our Bell Captain.

Former head of music at Ermysted School, Edward Scott will be giving a short Organ recital on Saturday from 11.30am - 12pm and 2.30 - 3pm.

Lots of things to explore. So come along and enjoy yourselves!
