The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival returns to Colne in Lancashire this August Bank Holiday weekend.
The Festival that is now 34th year and welcomes 52 artists across three main venues in the town, the Pendle Hippodrome, The Exchange Project Stage and The Little Theatre. You can expect a real showcase of Rhythm and Blues plus a varied and dynamic blend of rhythm and blues, roots, Americana and soul music.
The festival was named UK Blues Based Festival of the Year back in April at the prestigious UK Blues Federation Awards held in Milton Keynes. This was the first time since 2019 that the festival has taken home the award showcasing a grand return to the spotlight for one of the UK's most cherished music events. This years the festival is featuring a number of international artists, UK Blues Award winners, local talent and not to be missed headliners. These are set to include Beaux Gris Gris & The Apocalypse, When Rivers Meet and Gerry McAvoy's Band of Friends.
The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival is widely regarded as one of Europe's best blues festivals. Alongside the main venues, the Colne Blues Society have programmed the official fringe festival and are offering five days of free music across bars and pubs in the town.
