Askrigg Rope Makers were formed in 2022 as Caroline the owner is so passionate about the craft after learning her skills at Outhwaites, a former company based in the Dales town of Hawes.

Caroline is trying hard to preserve the tradition and was the only female in the Northeast to make rope in the traditional way on such a commercial scale and would love to get the message out to the Dales that the ropemaking tradition is still being kept alive through her passion and dedication.

If you could please help to support her by spreading the word and following her on social media by searching Askrigg Ropemakers that would be amazing!
