Little White Bus are looking for volunteers to join their team for 2026.

Positions available are customer service, helping with excursions and timetabling enquiries, marketing (old school), public engagement - LWB ambassador at local events and administration support.

The qualities they are looking for irrespective of the role are: Community-minded, compassionate, friendly and approachable, supportive of other roles and dependable.

Wild Garsdale Pike are a youth-led environmental project, with an aim to to educate young people about the environmental challenges faced by much of the UK’s upland landscapes and involve them in conservation efforts being made to combat such challenges.

They currently have a number of volunteer opportunities and are looking for people with skills, energy and enthusiasm.

Volunteers duties include:

Cleaning and maintaining the visitor centre and museum

Decorating and general maintenance work

Gardening and helping to keep the outside grounds tidy

Helping develop their archive records and database

Assisting in exhibitions and displays

Assisting with their outdoor events programme as walk leader or steward

Craven Wildlife Rescue are in need of dedicated volunteers to join their 30 strong team.

At the moment it's baby season in the wildlife world and their main focus is on the care of the little ones.

As a volunteers you would be helping to give extra support with their housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying, hanging the washing out, filling and emptying the dish washer, keeping everything topped up and organising the store room.

There are both morning and evening roles available based at Horton in Ribblesdale.

A great community project has been set up in Skipton, The Holy Trinity and Community Poppy Project 2026.

This huge project is going to be super exciting for anyone involved and that could be you!

Can you knit or crochet? If the answer is yes, then they need your help!

They need volunteers to help make a stunning cascade of knitted and crochet red poppies to adorn Holy Trinity Church for Remembrance Sunday 2026.

They will have drop-in sessions at the church cafe every first Tuesday of the month starting in April between 10am and midday.

Or you can pop into the church and drop them off in the box next to the bench at the back.

The Folly in Settle are looking to recruit some new volunteers to welcome the public to their museum?

Here's the details:

They're looking for some new people to volunteer in their Visitor Welcome role that involves:

• Greeting visitors when they arrive

• Telling people a little bit about The Folly and the museum

• Using the till to count visitors and sell shop products

• Opening up or closing the museum, depending on the time of day.

Full training and a volunteer mentor are provided. You don’t need to stick to a particular day or time. Shifts are either morning (11am-1pm) or afternoon (1-4pm).

Volunteers get a range of excellent benefits, including:

• Free tea, coffee or soft drink while on duty

• 10% discount in our shop and café

• Expenses for travel to The Folly

• Opportunities to visit other museums and historic houses
