Welcome to Yorkshire launches 52 free stunning online backdrops of iconic Yorkshire landscapes and locations to fall in love with the county every week of the year.
With a heartfelt holler on Valentine’s Day (14th February), for folk who love Yorkshire across the globe to feel one step closer to the land they love, the destination marketing organisation has selected some scenic showstoppers which make a statement in any online meeting.
Welcome to Yorkshire has created a unique collection of virtual backgrounds to promote the county’s incredible locations in anticipation of a reopening of tourism, which pre-pandemic was worth a staggering £9bn to the Yorkshire economy and employed almost 225,000 people. Discover these 52 brilliant backgrounds to inspire everyone, in virtual meetings and online conference video calls, to visit this amazing county.
The backdrops are free for Welcome to Yorkshire members to download https://industry.yorkshire.com/resources/virtual-yorkshire-backgrounds but a donation to Welcome to Yorkshire’s partner charity, Yorkshire Cancer Research, is being encouraged https://yorkshirecancerresearch.org.uk/donate/welcome-to-yorkshire

Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive James Mason said: “As the world continues to communicate and catch up virtually, the team at Welcome to Yorkshire want to offer some striking and stunning scenes to showcase the region, that everyone with a love of the county can use. From beautiful countryside to vibrant cities, tempting towns to the spectacular coast, this is also an ideal way to promote and support the tourism sector. The breathtaking backdrops are a fantastic talking point in any meeting and people can choose images which are particularly special to them. This is also a great opportunity to not have to rearrange your bookshelf in the bedroom or the kitchen’s cups and cutlery behind you. The backdrops are free to Welcome to Yorkshire members, but considering a contribution to Yorkshire Cancer Research would be very much appreciated.”
