A man has been arrested in connection with the incidents at Settle Victoria Hall
A man has been arrested a man on suspicion of burglary after a popular Craven entertainment venue was repeatedly broken into.
Settle Victoria Hall has been burgled seven times since 24 September, with cash and stock being stolen.
North Yorkshire Police launched an investigation and yesterday we arrested a man in his 30s. He was charged with burglary, refused bail and remanded in custody.
Craven Neighbourhood Policing Inspector, Julie Earnshaw, thanked everyone who had assisted officers with their investigation.
"This is a fantastic result for Victoria Hall, who have been repeatedly targeted over the last two months," she added.
"The offender targeted the office, stealing the takings from shows, making a huge impact on the small venue."
The suspect was due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court today.
