Craven District Council invites local businesses from Craven and the Yorkshire Dales in the food processing sector to a free round table event at Town End Farm Shop
THis event is on 18 April specifically highlighting the support available in the region for food and drink producers and processors.
The council collaborates with partners across the region to provide opportunities for these businesses to grow and thrive while nurturing each other and is staging this event to bring together Craven's independent food makers to learn about sector-specific business support, supply chain insights and how to gain market share.
The event, ‘Food Glorious Food’ which runs from 3pm – 6pm, is hosted at Town End Farm Shop near Airton, winner of the Family Business category at the 2023 Craven Business Awards and owned by award-winning charcuterie maker, Chris Wildman.
Alongside him, other inspirational speakers at the event include Alison Kane of Deliciously Yorkshire, an organisation which works to promote Yorkshire food, Ulrike Ehrgartner of the Fix Our Food initiative at the University of York and Katheryn Gregory of The Supply Chain Network that provides direct support to food businesses.

The region boasts many outstanding food and drink producers. Several of these are small, artisan producers who take pride in the quality and sustainability of their produce and who stand to benefit from working collaboratively. This event provides a forum for producers and processors to share their ideas as to what they would like to see both for their businesses locally and the region’s food sector as a whole.
The workshop is part of a programme of events being held by Craven District Council with funding support from the European Regional Development Fund.
