Saturday bus links from Ingleton will be further improved from this weekend with the introduction of a new DalesBus service connecting Ingleton and Bentham with Lancaster and Hawes.
DalesBus 80 will run every Saturday throughout the summer between Lancaster, Hornby, Bentham, Ingleton, Ribblehead Station and Hawes. Buses leave Ingleton Community Centre for Hawes at 0955 and 1625, and for Lancaster at 1150 and 1820.
The timetable allows plenty of time to explore Hawes and the surrounding countryside including the famous Hardraw Force waterfall, the Dales Countryside Museum and Wensleydale Creamery. The bus also provides a useful new service for visits to Lancaster and other places along the route.
DalesBus service 80 is operated by Lonsdale Buses and will run every Saturday from 3rd May until 18th October 2025, as part of the DalesBus network managed by Dales and Bowland Community Interest Company with support from York & North Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The maximum single fare on the route is £3, and under 19s travel for just £1 each way. Elderly and disabled bus passes are not valid for free travel on this service, but passholders can buy a day ticket for £5.
Full details of the service are available online at www.dalesbus.org/80
