Looking for a new home that’s convenient for local schools?

Former Bedale primary school caretaker’s house to be auction off with guide price of just £83k

You will struggle to get any closer than this three-bedroom former caretaker’s house at Bedale Church of England Primary School!
The detached property in the town’s Firby Road is being sold off by North Yorkshire Council with a guide price of just £83,000.

As well as being within shouting distance of the primary school front door, the bungalow is next to Bedale Leisure Centre and round the corner from the town’s secondary school.

It is being sold for the council by Pugh Auctions, which admits the property could do with some work.

The sale details state: “A three-bedroom, detached bungalow with wraparound gardens, situated in a well-established residential area adjacent to Bedale Primary School on Firby Road, close to the centre of Bedale.
“The property offers well-proportioned single-storey accommodation and would benefit from modernisation, making it ideal for owner-occupiers, investors, or developers seeking a project in a desirable location.
“The accommodation comprises: entrance hall, reception room, kitchen with small storage room, pantry/store housing the boiler, three bedrooms, a shower room, and a separate WC. The property is fitted with double glazing and a gas central heating system.”
Bedale Primary School was rated ‘good’ by Ofsted at its last inspection.

Bidding for the property starts on September 23 and ends the following day.
