The Clapham based, Cave Rescue Organisation were called out to assist Yorkshire Ambulance Service with an unresponsive person found by a dog walker next to a footpath on farmland near to Low Bentham.
When ambulance staff got to the scene they found that the reported casualty was in fact very drunk.
The drunk person got up and left the scene before they could help him.
Cave Rescue were stood down as they arrived at the nearest road head.
No further information is available.
