A man is due in court charged with stealing quad bikes from two North Yorkshire farms.
On Friday 27 December 2019, two farms near Askrigg, Richmondshire, were burgled. Police and local Rural Watch group members attended immediately, and sighted suspicious vehicles in the area. All three stolen quad bikes were recovered.
Following forensic enquiries, a 28-year-old Keighley man was arrested by North Yorkshire Police Rural Taskforce officers in connection with the burglaries.
He has been charged with stealing three quad bikes and power tools, worth a total of about £13,000, from two different farms – and is due to appear at York Magistrates Court in December 2020.
