Police in Craven are saying the number of thefts from rural properties has increased lately
Police are seeing an increase in the number of quad bikes that are being stolen from farm buildings in the Craven Area, especially in rural areas.
Thieves are increasing their efforts to steal the quads, by moving other farm equipment and cutting fences.
Advice from North Yorkshire Police is to please remain vigilant, report anything suspicious, and call 999 if you suspect that you or your neighbour have a burglary in progress. Consider trackers and other security devices to make it harder for the thieves.
They add, Please do not put yourself at risk. There are usually more than one offender.
