The A1 between Leeming and Richmond has been closed this morning after a high sided vehicle overturned.
Police have closed the A1 in both directions, following an accident earlier this morning. Cres from Richmond have attended. It's not known when the carriageway will reopen.
Storm Otto is making its mark across the Dales and drivers are being warned to take extra care especially if driving high sided vehicles on exposed roads. Winds of up to 70mph are battering the area.
Meanwhile across the region, residents are reporting damage to outbuildings, sheds being blown over and wheelie bins being tossed around in the gusty winds.
