Police warn parents to be vigilant after an incident in Settle
On Friday 21st November 2025 at about 15:30hrs, a black or dark grey transit type van with a white roof stopped a 11 year old male walking home from school on Church Street, Settle.
The driver described as a white male between 40 and 50 years of age, with a black hooded top worn up, and a black neck tube.
The male was described to have brown hair and brown stubble. The male said to the boy that he knew his parents and the boy should get into the van. The boy ignored the male and called his mother.
The good thinking of this young male was absolutely spot on, and we applaud his actions.
